I chose to do a web developer and a games developer.

1. What does the person in the career do?

A web developer is a software engineer that creates applications usuallly for world wide. Some companies rgar hire web developers include Apple Computers, Yahoo and even Google. The different areas of web design include web graphic design, interface design, authpring, user experience design and search engine optimisation.

A Video game developer is generally involved in the lengthy process of creating a video game. The development is normally funded by a publisher. The game development is done by the actual video game developer. The video game developer has to have their concept approved by the manufacturer, who may refuse to approve.

2. Where would you see this person’s work (e.g. in the newspaper, in a game shop)?

I would see the work of a Web Developer on the internet, when searched.

I would see the work of a Games Developer on a video game either played on an electronic device, such as a mobile phone, or on the internet.

3. What training is needed for the career?

 A web developer would need to have a formal education and training. A BSCS is usually undertaken. But if developers do not have formal training, they may start from small tasks and work there way up.

A video games developer also needs a good education and hence, universities and design schools are offering classes specifically focused on game development. Many big businessed have joined up with these schools to make sure the students get the best education possible.

4. What kind of software and hardware is used?

They use a Desktop or Laptop and in that use web developing websites from big companies such as Apple and Microsoft.

A video games developer may use Inkscape, Photo Shop.etc.
